چکیده

The current work reports on the development of Au nanoparticles (NPs) supported titania membrane towards enhancing catalytic reduction p-nitrophenol. Titania was successfully fabricated via chemical anodization method at 50 V in ethylene glycol: water as electrolyte. A well-ordered nanotubular array 138±18 nm pore diameter observed by electron microscope. NPs were deposited form (Au/TiO2 MF) immersing precursor (HAuCl4) solution pH 7 for 2 hours. Meanwhile, preparation Au/TiO2 powder (PF) follows similar procedures but using commercial TiO2 (Degussa P25). FTIR result shows shifting peak 1067 cm-1 to 1107 cm−1 and MF, respectively which corresponds Ti-O bond. Meanwhile bond shifted from 1066 (titania powder) 1097 PF. IR indicates successful attachment titania. Surface morphology FESEM 27.95±5.8 30.59±2.11 size obtained MF PF, respectively. exhibits superior activity p-nitrophenol, with a rate constant (k) value 5.9 x 10-3 s−1. slight decreased k after this catalyst been reused. This study offers an effective high good stability.

Fabrication and catalytic activity of FeNi@Ni nanocables for the reduction of p-nitrophenol.

Magnetic FeNi@Ni nanocables were prepared as a superior recyclable catalyst towards the hydrogenation reduction of p-nitrophenol to p-aminophenol through a two-step tunable assembly process in a solvothermal system. The proposed fabrication mechanism was verified through characterization by SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, and UV-Vis. The as-prepared FeNi@Ni nanocomposites are core-shell-structured nanocabl...

Green synthesis of gold nanoparticles using aspartame and their catalytic activity for p-nitrophenol reduction

We demonstrated a facile and environmental-friendly approach to form gold nanoparticles through the reduction of HAuCl4 by aspartame. The single-crystalline structure was illustrated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) results indicated that aspartame played a pivotal role in ...

Size effect of gold nanoparticles in catalytic reduction of p-nitrophenol with NaBH4.

Gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) were prepared by reducing HAuCl4 with NaBH4. Their average particle sizes could be tuned in the range of 1.7 and 8.2 nm, by adjusting the amount of NaBH4 used during synthesis. The obtained Au NPs (colloids) were then loaded onto a commercial Al2O3 support to prepare Au/Al2O3 catalysts with tunable Au particle sizes. An optimal pH value (5.9) of the Au colloid soluti...

Facile fabrication, characterization and enhanced heterogeneous catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol using undoped and doped ZrO2 nanoparticles

Here, we successfully developed the undoped, Ni2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+ doped Zirconia nanoparticles (ZrO2 NPs) by a simple co-precipitation method at room temperature and characterized by various physicochemical measurement techniques to investigate their structure, morphology, and sizes of the particles. The bandgap energy values of doped and undoped ZrO2 NPs were estimated using optical absorption...

Revisiting catalytic model reaction p-nitrophenol/NaBH4 using metallic nanoparticles coated on polymeric spheres.

The early reported pseudo-first-order reaction kinetics of the polymer-supported metallic nanocatalysts for the model reaction of p-nitrophenol (p-NP)/NaBH4 were probably oversimplified. Here a detailed study of p-NP reduction by NaBH4 in the presence of the raspberry-like poly(allylamine hydrochloride)-modified polymer poly(glycidyl methacrylate) composite sub-microspheres with tunable gold na...
